The road adventure continues

“Beware of the viper! He is venomous even after he has died.” This one was still writhing when we pulled up next to the group gathered at the side of the road. It sounded like a veiled warning.

True, the snake remains dangerous even after being killed. The venom is at the tip of the fangs and the severed head is capable of reflex biting. I was sure glad that we encountered this snake dead, on the side of road.
